Horses with Heart introduced a new Executive Director, Angelique LeVell, in October 2020. Angelique comes to us from the public education sector with 26 years as a music educator and administrator. Her passion for education continues at Horses with Heart supporting our programs, instructors, and horses. The HwH horses are kind, patient, and understanding teachers, too.


PAM BERRY
Operations Director, Certified Instructor (CTRI),
Special Olympic Head Coach
Since 1997, Pam has been a stalwart member of the
Horses with Heart team. She is a Certified Instructor
with PATH International (Professional Association of
Therapeutic Horsemanship), and a CHA-IRD
Instructor (Certified Horsemanship Association-
Instructor of Riders with Disabilities).
MICKEY KISSELL
Certified Instructor
After moving to Arizona, this native Covina, California Cowgirl began volunteering at Horses with Heart and soon became a CHA- IRD Instructor (Certified Horsemanship Association- Instructor of Riders with Disabilities). Continuing her education and credentials she has become a PATH International (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) Certified Instructor as well.

JAN GRISE

to Instructors-in-Training, Equine Specialist in Mental
Health and Learning
Ask Jan about her credentials and she’ll have to take a
breath: She’s a Registered Instructor with PATH
International, a CHA Standards Certified Instructor in
English and Western, a PATH International Equine
Specialist in Mental Health and Learning, and holds a
Master of Arts degree in Special Education.


TRUDY CHAPMAN-RADLEY
Certified Instructor (CTRI), HwH Board Member,
CHA Member
A whirlwind in Western boots, Trudy became the first
Executive Director of HwH in 1996, just three years
after joining the group begun by Vickie Stuart. A
certified PATH Instructor and CHA Member, she’s
been a fixture in Arizona’s horse world since 1970,
from 4-H programs to nationally-sanctioned
barrel racing competitions.
CHARLES DRIVER
Caretaker
A fixture around the HwH ranch since 2010, Charles
(pictured with his faithful companion Bear) is the engine that drives the operation of the facility.

SHERRY HOOVER
Certified Instructor (CTRI)
It hasn’t taken Sherry long to build an impressive listing of teaching credentials. Since joining HwH in 2012, she has become a PATH Certified Instructor, a CHA IRD
Instructor (Physical & Cognitive), and holds accreditation for CHA Standards in both English and Western.
